1RetroGetting Started
Set up 1Retro on your devices in just a few minutes.
Enable Wi-Fi on your device
Turn on Wi-Fi in your OnionOS settings. Syncing needs a network connection, which in practice means a Miyoo Mini+ (the original Miyoo Mini has no Wi-Fi hardware).
Install the 1Retro app
Download 1RetroSync.zip from the Download page, unzip it, and copy the 1RetroSync folder into the App folder on your SD card. Restart the device and 1Retro Sync appears in the Apps menu.
Pair your device
Open 1Retro Sync from the Apps menu. On first launch the screen shows a QR code next to a 4-character code and a device ID. Scan the QR code with your phone, or go to 1retro.com/device in any browser and type in the device ID. Log in to your 1Retro account, type the 4-character code, and approve. The handheld links within a few seconds and stays signed in.
Sync your saves
The first sync starts right after pairing, and each launch after that is a quick one-shot sync: your handheld saves upload to the cloud, and newer saves from your other devices download to the card. Press any button to exit when it finishes.
Good to know
- OnionOS stores saves in Saves/CurrentProfile/saves/ organized by emulator core.
- 1Retro handles the format differences between emulator cores automatically.
- Works great for picking up a game on the go that you started at home.
