Getting Started
Set up 1Retro on your devices in just a few minutes.
Connect to Wi-Fi
Turn on Wi-Fi in your device’s settings. Syncing needs a network connection. MinUI does not manage Wi-Fi itself, so on MinUI install minui-wifi-pak first and connect with it.
Install the 1Retro pak
Download 1Retro.Sync.pak.zip from the Download page. On your SD card, open Tools and then the folder for your device: tg5040 for the TrimUI Brick and Smart Pro, tg5050 for the Smart Pro S, my355 for the Miyoo Flip, or rg35xxplus for Anbernic handhelds on MinUI. Create a folder there named 1Retro Sync.pak and unzip the contents into it. 1Retro Sync appears in the Tools menu.
Pair your device
Open 1Retro Sync from the Tools menu. The first time, the screen shows a QR code next to a 4-character code and a device ID. Scan the QR code with your phone, or go to 1retro.com/device in any browser and type in the device ID. Log in to your 1Retro account, type the 4-character code, and approve. Press B to back out instead.
Sync your saves
Once paired, the app opens on a menu with Sync saves already selected, so a sync is one button press, and the screen shows what it is doing as it goes. Turn on Watch for saves to keep syncing in the background after you leave the app. It uses extra battery and only works on Wi-Fi. Start watching at boot picks that up again after a restart.
Good to know
- NextUI keeps saves in the Saves folder, one folder per system, and 1Retro reads them straight from there.
- In-game saves sync. Save states do not.
- The same pak runs on MinUI, which covers Anbernic handhelds like the RG35XX Plus and RG40XX.
