Enable Wi-Fi on your device
Turn on Wi-Fi in your OnionOS settings. Your device needs network access to sync saves.
Install the 1Retro app
Download the OnionOS package from the Download page and extract it to the App directory on your SD card. You should end up with App/1RetroSync/ containing the launch script and the 1retro-onionos binary.
Pair your device
Open the 1Retro app from your handheld’s apps menu. On first launch it displays a QR code and a short pairing code. On your phone or computer, go to https://1retro.com/link and enter the code to link the handheld to your 1Retro account.
Sync your saves
Launch the app any time you want to sync. Your handheld saves upload to the cloud, and saves from your desktop or MiSTer download so you can continue where you left off.
Good to know
- OnionOS stores saves in Saves/CurrentProfile/saves/ organized by emulator core.
- 1Retro handles the format differences between emulator cores automatically.
- Works great for picking up a game on the go that you started at home.
